Ford Tie Rod Problems

Consumers Report Defective Tie Rods in 1997 - 2003
Ford Pickup Trucks and SUV's.

We have received reports that steering tie rod ends on 1997 - 2003 Ford light duty pickups and SUV's are wearing prematurely with some mechanics are reporting a failure rate as high as 2:1. Additionally, some consumer advocates are reporting that the tie rods can separate in some cases, leading to a sudden loss of control.

The vehicles that are potentially affected by premature tire rod wear or failure include:

  • 1997 - 2003 Ford F150 (Light Duty)
  • 1997 - 2003 Ford F250 (Light Duty)
  • 1997 - 2002 Ford Expedition
  • 1998 - 2002 Lincoln Navigator
  • 2002 Lincoln Blackwood

A potential class action is being investigated for the tie rod failures.

If you are having or have had any of the tie rod or any other steering problems with your Ford truck or SUV, and would like to participate in a class action, or you would like to know whether or not a legitimate claim for recovery is available to you, please take a moment to fill out the free case review form below.
